AS1-X W/L

The Model AS1-X W/L is a single string mechanical production packer that boasts retrievability. Officials can set the tubing string and then leave it in tension, compression, or neutral position for extra versatility and to help control pressure from multiple angles and facets.

These flexible features allow the AS1-X W/L to be run in a variety of applications ranging from Production Packer to Bridge Plug to Service Packer.

Silver Fox has the AS1-X available in either High Pressure (up to 10K (69MPa) or Standard (up to 7K (48MPa) pressure ratings, enabling you to choose the right model for your specific job.

A large internal bypass reduces the swabbing effect during run-in and retrieval and closes after setting the packer. After releasing the packer, it opens the bypass first, which allows the pressure to equalize before pulling the upper slips from the casing. The Model AS1-X W/L also features an upper slip releasing system that reduces the force required to release the packer. It releases a non-directional slip first, which makes it easier to release other slips.
