Shear Out Safety Joint

The Shear Out Safety Joint allows for positive release in the tubing string in situations where challenges in retrieval are anticipated. The Shear Out Safety Joint is used between Packers in Single, Dual and Triple Zone completions. It is also used when rotational releasing is not desired. These safety joints are easily field adjustable to compensate for hydraulic conditions that exist when the string is landed or that are created by well-treating operations.

This is a fully “locked” type Safety Joint that allows full tubing torque to be applied through the safety joint without loading the shear pins.

The pull shear value is fully adjustable to all field conditions by the number of shear screws installed.
