The SMB Mechanical Setting Tool (MST) sets mechanical style bridge plugs used for wellbore isolation. The MST is used when it is advantages to run a bridge plug on tubing or drill pipe.
Available in most casing sizes as Drag Block or Drag Spring configuration.
The Mechanical Running Tool is released from the Bridge Plug by right hand rotation. The MST contains a built in snap-out feature which provides 10,000# snap out tension indicator when the work string is picked up.
The MST is equipped with drag springs to assure positive control during running and setting procedures at all depths or in highly deviated wells.
