This SMB Mechanical Setting Tool (MST) sets mechanical style bridge plugs used for wellbore isolation. Use it when it is advantageous to run a bridge plug on tubing or drill pipe.

Available in most casing sizes as Drag Block or Drag Spring configuration.

Details

The Mechanical Running Tool releases from the Bridge Plug by right hand rotation. It has a built in snap-out feature that offers a 10,000# snap out tension indicator when the work string is picked up.

The MST also features drag springs to provide positive control during running and setting procedures in highly deviated wells, or at all depths of other typical wells.
